This is the club house (upstairs) and shop (downstairs).
The snack shack. Many of the events include food (go figure) and it is prepared and served from this building.
One of the many little outbuilding around the track plan.
One of several trestles. Notice the new wood. Repairs were made on this work day to fix 2 year old tornado damage.
The new depot built last year. That's Linda standing under the shelter.
A road cut. Around the corner the track enters a tunnel. One of the things Linda and I did this work day was to clean out tumbleweeds that had accumulated in the road cut. How many tumbleweeds? They completely filled the cut for about 20 feet to height that I could not see over.
You probably recognize this as a tunnel entrance. Both ends of the tunnel have doors to keep unwanted things out. What kind of unwanted things? Well, everything from tumbleweeds to snow to cows.
I couldn't resist including a picture Linda took from the car of snow capped peaks on the way home.
